This week, OpenAI joined the tradition with Your Year with ChatGPT, a Spotify Wrapped\u2013style recap that promises nostalgia, insight, and,\u00a0 if you squint, a mild privacy panic.<\/p>\n
Launched Monday in English-speaking markets like the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, the feature is a slideshow tour of your year with ChatGPT.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It opens poetically, literally: a custom AI-generated poem meant to capture the \u201cvibe\u201d of your year, based on your chats.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Whether that vibe is \u201cproductive professional\u201d or \u201cperson who asks too many oddly specific questions at 2 AM\u201d is between you and the algorithm.<\/p>\n
From there, the stats roll in.\u00a0<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll see how many chats you had, your most talkative day, and, because OpenAI knows how to wink at the camera, how many em-dashes you and the bot exchanged.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then it gets more personal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To see Your Year with ChatGPT, users must have \u201creference saved memories\u201d and \u201creference chat history\u201d turned on, settings that are enabled by default for free, Plus, and Pro users.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Turning that off requires digging into Settings \u2192 Personalization \u2192 Manage Memories, where you can toggle memory features or delete specific saved info, like an AI-era \u201cclear browser history\u201d button.<\/p>\n
